This place is amazing! So beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you need to make an easy stopover. Rooms are generous and lovely linen and furniture. Would be awesome for a large group who wants to cycle all the trails that are accessible in this area. Very large kitchen and lounge and dining area as well as outdoor area and pool. And the Rail Trail here is a must do!

We stayed here overnight while riding the BVRT - and I wish we could have stayed longer. As others have said, the owners live behind this grand old two-storey building. They are super-helpful with bike storage and generally anything that visitors may need. The room was very comfortable with plenty of space to spread our biking gear out. Guests have the run of the house - including a lounge, dining room and big kitchen where there were supplies for a continental breakfast in the morning. This would be a great place for a large group, so comfortable and well-equipped. Highly recommended.

My wife and I, from Hervey Bay, visited Montrose on Moore on the nights of the 19th and 20th of October, 2023. The new owners and hosts, Peter and Jenny, were very welcoming. The check-in was straightforward, the free continental breakfasts each morning in a fully equipped kitchen were ideal and the secure bike-storage (with charging facilities) was a bonus . We based ourselves in Moore to ride both north and south on the BVRT. As social e-bike riders we tested our new e-bikes and the trail for the first time and found it to be exciting and will definitely return at some point to complete the entire 161kms. Highly recommend Montrose on Moore as it is an oasis for cyclists.

Spent a night here cycling BVRT and it was so hard to leave the next morning, that’s how comfortable we had become! Peter was very welcoming and clearly passionate about both cycling and the trail. We had this beautifully appointed Queenslander to ourselves, it was tastefully decorated and the kitchen had everything including a wide selection for a big pre-ride breakfast, which we made the most of. We enjoyed our stay very much, my only complaint was it wasn’t long enough! I will be recommending it to anyone I come across who plans to visit the area or cycle the BVRT.

Montrose on Moore exceeded our expectations. We rented the whole house with two bathrooms, four generous size bedrooms and one family room. Rooms were very clean and house was well stocked with everything you need for one night or several nights stay. We were doing the Brisbane Valley tail trail on e-bikes plus mountain bikes. Perfect location for first night stop if traveling from Yarraman to Wulkuraka ( which I would recommend as there is a lot of downhill). Hosts were very welcoming and couldn’t be more helpful. Bonus for us was outdoor fire pit.

We were a large group with 10 kids and Peter was the easiest host to coordinate with. The entire place was set up nicely and stocked beyond our expectations. Rooms were neat and organised and while walking through, Peter was very understanding about having to make a few configuration changes. No fuss, no mess. The pool is where we spent most of our time and it was perfect. Thank you for being a gracious host Peter. Look forward to staying here again.

Thank you Peter and Jenny for a wonderful stay at your lovely BnB. It was the perfect stop off after our first day of riding the BVRT. We felt right at home instantly, the accommodation and facilities were perfect, beautifully clean and comfortable, and enjoyed the generous breakfast supplies. We were thrilled with your facilities for bike storage/charging/maintenance - WOW! Even saw a koala! We loved our chats, loved meeting you and other guests, we'd love to return one day! Thanks again.

We've just spent a fantastic weekend at Montrose on Moore. This beautiful Queenslander is being sympathetically cared for and significantly improved by new owners Pete & Jen.
The house and gardens are very well maintained and equipped with the added bonus of a pool!
Pete & Jen are wonderful hosts who gave us a very warm welcome and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay - nothing was too much trouble.
We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation whether you're cycling/walking the BVRT or just want a relaxing break in a beautiful property and location.
